The third guided visit of the Old English Cemetery of Livorno at night, which took place on September 26th, 2013, was another great success with a fully booked event, thanks to the collaboration between our association and the Historical and Touristic Guides of Livorno (Fabrizio Ottone and Francesca Sorrentino).

The 50+ participants enjoyed an enchanting and very evocative torch and candle-lit 90 minute tour of the oldest foreign protestant cemetery in Italy. The path we created for this special occasion included ten stops next to some of the most significant graves, spanning the first half of the 17th century to the 1830s, including Tobias Smollett (1771), William Magee Seton (1803), John Webb (1829), Thomas Hall (1824), Robert Bateman (1743), Leonard Digges (1646), Mary Champion (1721), etc.

A substantial part of the revenues were given to our association for projects related to the maintenance, study, and restoration of the cemetery itself.
